When I started my career, my then Professor told me "Don't take the job that offers you the most money, find a career that excites you the most". I couldn't really understand what he meant then. I was out of school, broke, had a huge debt to pay off and was living in a studio apartment. Money was probably the only motivation I had back then.
I listened to my professor and found a career that excited me the most.
I haven't "worked" a single day since then.
I get up every morning excited about what I am going to do for the day and have always looked for work that allows me to focus on things that keep me motivated and driven.
Money can buy you a fancy car, money can buy you a big home and can take you places you have never been before but can't buy you satisfaction. Find a gig that allows you to do something that you enjoy and gives you the satisfaction of making a difference!
People who can retire at 40 are also the ones who will never retire till they are 70, because they enjoy what they do too much.
We all die , the goal is not live forever but to create something that will.
